We Finally Made It

I'm ready to release the sequel to AN ORC AND A GENTLEMAN...finally

Hello! It’s been awhile. The past couple of years have been challenging and knocked me out of scheduled releases for awhile. But I’m here. I’m back. And it’s finally time to release my next book.

I outlined the sequel to AN ORC AND A GENTLEMAN not long after drafting the first book. Originally, it was supposed to release that same year or the beginning of the next year but it took me so much longer to churn the words out. A lot of second guessing myself. Wondering if I should really do this thing or that thing. I had a lot of encouragement to “do what I damn well pleased” because before I give this story over to the readers, it is mine and if I don’t love it, no one else will. So here it is: a little longer, a little angstier, and Lettie managed to scoop up two more lovers to add to her polycule.

Months after their whirlwind trip to Silver City, the lovers have settled into a routine and everything is going great. But when a slighted business enemy rears his head, Lettie and her family are thrown in front of the cameras with every inch of their lives scrutinized. The media storm catches the attention of Lettie’s biggest fear: her mother. Once again she is whisked away to the safety and isolation of Roarke’s childhood home, but the past has come calling and Lettie can’t run away this time.

FOR THE LOVE OF LETTIE will be the final story that primarily focuses on the blooming relationship between Lettie and Roarke but this won’t be the last you ever see of them! There are at least two other stories in this universe that will have them as side/background characters. Though I am sad to see this arc end,—I love Lettie very much as my first unapologetically fat protagonist—I look forward to expanding the world of Autumnbrook, Silver City, and more!

FOR THE LOVE OF LETTIE will release August 26, 2025! If you would like a chance to read an early copy and review, fill out this form here! Given the short turnaround time, I don’t expect the review to be posted by release, just whenever you have the time and are able to do so.

That’s not all!

Some of you know I had a time with the AN ORC AND A GENTLEMAN cover. It would look fine in some places and very pixelated in others. I tried multiple fixes and even remade the cover but I couldn’t figure out why it would do that. So I decided to make a whole new cover instead.

This was my first foray into making a book cover and knew I was bound to possibly change up covers later on. I wanted to make a new cover for AN ORC AND A GENTLEMAN that really highlighted its more contemporary leanings rather than something that could be quite ambiguous as to which subgenre of romance it belonged to. I will be working on changing the cover this month as well!

What Else Have I Been Up To?

If you follow my other penname then you know I’m also working on the third book in my dark fantasy series. Other than working, I decided to restart my island in Animal Crossing New Horizons and I unlocked terraforming not too long ago so I will be going on a decorating and terraforming spree while also trying to actually complete my museum this time around (treasure islands are a godsend).

I also renewed my library card earlier this year after not having one for a few years and have discovered the magic of Hoopla and Libby. I have been reading borrowed books as well as getting through my very neglected library. It’s been nice to read voraciously in a way I haven’t in a very long time.
